BARCLAYS has just recruited Richard Evans as COO for equities in EMEA. He will take up the role in September and will report to Siggi Thorkelsson, who is the UK bank’s head of equities for that region. Richard joins from MORGAN STANLEY, where he was head of European strategists for the bank’s delta one equity trading desk. Before that, he was global head of electronic trading at CITIGROUP.
