COVEBERRY CREDIT PARTNERS has been set up by Michael Berry, former head of debt advisory at ORIEL SECURITIES, which he left earlier in 2012. His new venture will be a credit fund investing in UK businesses. Michael is a former head of leveraged finance at NOMURA and has also worked at WESTLB and MORGAN GRENFELL. This is not the first firm he has founded. He joined ORIEL in September 2011 when VERSATUS, the debt advisory business he set up in 2009, was bought by that firm.
